About

Tanielle Lobo was born in Bombay where she grew up and studied  till the age of 17 specializing in Art and Design. She left Bombay to pursue a career in Fashion in the UK and began a
foundation diploma at the Kent Institute of Art and Design in Rochester. After completing her foundation, she was offered a place at the prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London to do a BA(Hons) degree in Fashion Design and Marketing.
Having lived most of her life in colourful India, her design and thoughts reflect an effervescent and energetic ornate style. Fascinated with ethnic handicrafts and Indian culture, she has
attended workshops in Zardozi ( Indian Gold Embroidery), Rangoli ( Decorative floor art) , Warli and Madhubani Art ( Indian Tribal Painting). She has successfully completed courses in Pattern cutting and tailoring and uses bold colours, vivid prints and detailed embellishments in her design development. Inspired by decorative oppulance , she has a vibrant and soulful spirit and an air of indianesque fantasia.
She has recently launched her GRADUATE COLLECTION 09. It is a womenswear collection
including accessories and shoes that reflects an eclectic, kitsch and colourful quirkiness with traditional ethnic flashes. Inspired by the markets of Bombay and the psychedelic dollybirds of the swinging sixties in the west, it is a melange of chaotic Indian street hawkers, cosmic go-go mods and kaleidoscopic graffiti art. Having sourced and produced her entire collection in India , Tanielle wishes to promote Indian craftsmanship and creativity.
Studying in London has exposed her to the international world of  Design. It  has  given her the opportunity to learn and experience a global market and enabled her to intern with some of the best names in the fashion industry while making valuable contacts and building a strong base for her future career in Fashion. She has worked for Anna Singh, Aquascutum, Matthew WIlliamson,
Browns, Burberry and  Dolce and Gabbana.
